Description

Captured ship: Petrus, otherwise Scheepyo Petrus or Le Pierre of Dokkum (master Anne Hylties d'Haen otherwise Kilke de Huer)).

History: an English ship (92 tons, guns, 4 men and a boy), bound from Bordeaux to Rouen, laden with wine, brandy, sugar, cotton and rosin; taken on 6/17 June 1747 near the River of Bordeaux by the privateer Guernsey (Daniel Perchard commanding), and brought into Falmouth.
