Captured ship: Le Pasteur or De Hurder (master Dirck Tierde Sanstraet or alternate spellings Tierdse, Tierdt, Sanstreat, Sandstrad, Sandstand, Sanstrad).
History: a Dutch ship (200 tons, 14 men), bound from St Jago, Cape Verde Islands to Amsterdam, laden with archella [orchilla or orseille- a lichen-based dye] and hides; taken first on 12/23 February 1748 by the Neptune (Parreguy Puye commanding) and retaken on 17/28 February 1748 by HMS Amazon (Michael Everitt commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
