Captured ship: Providence of Cherbourg (master François Feronet (Feronnet)).
History: a French ship (18 tons, 3 men), bound from Cherbourg to Granville in ballast; taken on 27 December 1744 / 7 January 1745 by the privateer Good Fortune (Thomas Gruchy commanding) and brought into Jersey, together with the Pierre de Grandeville (master Jean Ermange), a ship with name unknown, and the St Jean of La Hogue.
