History: a French or Danzig ship (100 tons, 9 men), bound from Danzig to L'Orient, laden with timber and pipestaves; taken on 19/30 July 1744 near Ushant by the privateer Salamander (Henry Strangeways commanding), and brought into Portsmouth.
