Captured ship: Port Factor (master Richard Frith).
History: an English ship (130 tons, 10 men), bound from Riga to Chester, laden with flax and iron; taken on 4/15 August 1746 by the French privateer Le Comte de Maurepas (Simon Bachelier commanding), and retaken on 8/19 August 1746 off Lowestoft by the privateers Neptune (Thomas Thornton commanding) and Providence (Charles Burne commanding), before being wrecked on the coast of Denmark (with most of the cargo saved).
