Captured ship: La Pelerine of St Jean de Luz (master Jean Bellax).
History: a French privateer (20 tons, 5 guns, 29 men), bound from St Jean de Luz on a cruise; taken [in 1748] off Viana do Castelo by HMS Hampton Court (John Douglas commanding), and brought into Lisbon.
