Captured ship: La Paix of Morlaix (master Pierre Cornie).
History: a French ship (London built, 150 tons, 2 guns [having thrown the rest overboard during the voyage because of the badness of the weather], 23 men), bound from Cap Francois, Saint Domingue to Nantes, laden with sugar, coffee and indigo; taken on 23 June / 4 July 1747 in latitude 48°N by HMS Hampton Court (Savage Mostyn commanding), and brought into London.
