Description

Captured ship: Le Petit St Philippe of Belle Isle (master Jacques Jeard or Yeard).

History: a French ship (14 tons, 4 men), bound from Bordeaux to Brest, laden with wine; taken during September or November 1747 by the privateer George (Charles Gorden commanding), and brought into Guernsey.

  • [CP 3]: allegation;
  • [CP 4-CP 5]: attestation as to papers, and abstracts and translations of the 9 ship's papers.

Ship's Papers numbered SP 1-SP 9.
