Captured ship: St Nicolas of Dieppe (master Nicholas Ville).
History: a French fishing vessel (60 tons, 11 men), bound from Dieppe on a fishing venture at sea, laden with fishing lines; taken on 5/16 February 1748 five leagues from Dieppe by HMS Raven (Edward Parker commanding), and brought into Dover.
