Captured ship: Nuestra Senora del Buen Consejo or El Rosario y San Domingo of Cadiz (master Joseph de Villa Nueva Pico).
History: a Spanish merchant ship (150 tons, 22 guns, 65 men, 26 passengers), bound from Cadiz to Buenos Aires, laden with brandy, wine, earthenware, lavender, iron, linen and silks; taken on 16/27 December 1747 off Santa Cruz, by the privateers King George (George Walker commanding), Prince Frederick (Hugh Bromedge commanding), Duke (Edward Dottin commanding) and Princess Amelia (Robert Denham commanding) (the Royal Family privateer squadron), and brought into Lisbon.
