Description

Captured ship: Notre Dame de Camaret (François Boussard, Boussart or Bouchard).

History: a French ship (40 tons, 7 men), bound from Bordeaux to Landerneau, laden with wine, rosin, pitch, prunes and almonds; taken on 1/12 January 1748 off Ushant by HMS Tryal (Robert Stewart commanding), and brought into Plymouth.

  • [CP 5]: allegation;
  • [CP 6-CP 7]: attestation as to papers, and abstracts and translations of the 15 ship's papers.
