Captured ship: Mary of Eymouth (master George Watson).
History: a Scottish merchant ship (50 tons), laden with raisins, currants, liquorice, almonds, linseed, tea, coffee, iron, brandy, tiles, barley and wine; taken by a French privateer, retaken January 1745 by HMS Princess Mary (Richard Haddock commanding), and brought first into Harwich, then into London.
