Captured ship: De Maria of Amsterdam, formerly the Dolphin (master Dirk Tjallasz).
History: a Dutch merchant ship (120 tons, 9 men), bound from San Sebastian to Cartagena, laden with iron, iron spikes, wooden hoops and cider; taken on 25 June/ 6 July 1747 off the coast between SanSebastian and Bilbao by the privateer Sandwich (James Gaul commanding), and brought into Falmouth.

- [CP 1-CP 6]: standing interrogatories, four examinations, commissioners' affidavit;
- [CP 7]: release of claim;
- [CP 8-CP 9]: attestation and claim, certificate attesting to the ownership of the vessel by Amsterdam merchants in Dutch and English;
- [CP 10]: allegation;
- [CP 11]: attestation of Michael Ennis, owner of De Maria, as to receiving part of the cargo, which he identifies as Spanish bolts and spikes;
- [CP 12-CP 14]: attestation as to papers, and two abstracts and translation of the 36 ship's papers [some of these papers were restored].
Ship's Papers numbered SP 1-3, SP 9-10, SP 13-14, SP 16-30, SP 32.
[Decision: cargo condemned, 18 August 1747; ship restored, 8 October 1747]
