History: a French privateer (80 tons, 14 guns, 84 men) bound on a cruise; taken in fight on the night of 7/8 [OS] 18/19 March [NS] 1745 about 45 leagues east of Flamborough Head by HM armed ship St Quentin (Thomas Wells commanding), and brought into Hull.
