Captured ship: Marie de Grace of Honfleur (master Guillaume Motard).
History: a French fishing vessel (100 tons, 20 men), bound from the Banks of Newfoundland to Honfleur, laden with cod fish; taken on 19/30 July 1744 westward of the Lizard’ by the privateer Expedition of Plymouth (John Bawden commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
