Captured ship: Marie Francoise of Nantes (master Joseph Richard de la Pivrediere).
History: a French merchant ship (120 tons, 19 men), bound from Saint Domingue to Paimbouef and Nantes, laden with sugar and indigo; taken on 16/[27] September 1744 off the Isle de Groix by the privateers Prosperity (Thomas Le Page commanding) and Guernsey (Elias Piton commanding), and brought into Guernsey.
