Captured ship: Marie Francoise of Granville (master Jean Montchaton).
History: a French fishing vessel (100 tons, 19 men), bound from the Banks of Newfoundland to Granville, laden with fish; taken on 24 July/4 August 1744 by the privateer Mediterranean of Bristol (Edmund Stott commanding), and brought into Bristol.
