Captured ship: Marie of Louisbourg (master Thomas Du Fresne Le Couturier).
History: a French merchant ship (60 tons, 16 men), bound from Rochfort to Louisbourg, laden with chestnut flour for Michel Rodrigue the owner, merchant of Louisbourg; taken on 16/27 July 1744 at latitude 45°N by the privateer Recovery (Mark Anderson commanding), and brought into the River Thames.
