Captured ship: Margaritta Olive (master John Michael Alliot).
History: a French fishing vessel (140 tons, 41 men of which 7 fled the vessel for fear of capture), bound from Granville to Newfoundland, laden with fishing tackle; taken on 8/19 April 1747 off the Isle de Batz by HMS Saltash (George Powell commanding) and the privateer Warren (Charles Wilson commanding), and brought into Falmouth.
