Captured ship: Molly sloop of Waterford (master Michael Murphy).
History: an Irish merchant ship (30 tons, 5 men), bound from Waterford to Madeira, laden with tanned hides, butter, candles and other goods; taken on 3/[14] March 1742 by a Spanish privateer; retaken 6/[17] March 1742 in latitude 49° by HMS Dolphin (Francis Holburne commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
