Description

Captured ship: Mary Anne (master Edward Tarleton).

History: an English merchant ship, bound from St Kitts to London, laden with sugar; taken by a Spanish privateer on 12/23 April 1747, retaken by HMS Falcon sloop (Richard Gwynn commanding), and brought into Plymouth.

  • [CP 1]: attestation as to the perishable nature of the cargo;
  • [CP 2]: attestation as to the perishable nature and the risk of theft of the cargo;
  • [CP 3]: attestation and claim;
  • [CP 4]: attestation as to the payment for salvage.

[Decision: restored paying 1/8 salvage, 7 July 1748]
