Captured ship: Marie Françoise of Blainville (master Nicolas Tanqueray).
History: a French North American fisheries vessel (50 tons, 16 men), bound from Newfoundland to Blainville via Dieppe, laden with cod and oil; taken on 18/29 July 1744 in latitude 49° by the privateer Dispatch (Philip Balaine commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
