Captured ship: St Michel of Isle Dieu (master Joachim Herian).
History: a French merchant ship (15 tons, 6 men), bound from Isle Dieu to Bordeaux, laden with coarse cloth, thread and tanned calf skins; taken on 20/31 March 1748 in the Bay of Biscay by the privateer Prince of Orange (John Visconte commanding), and brought into Guernsey.
