History: a French naval frigate ([380] tons, [26] guns, 236 men); taken in fight on 29 April/10 May 1744 off Cape Clear at latitude 46°6' by HMS Dreadnought (Edward Boscawen commanding) and HMS Grampus (Edmund Toll commanding), and brought into Portsmouth.
