Captured ship: St Mathieu of Le Havre (master Michel François Hurel).
History: a French merchant ship (120 tons, 15 men) bound from Martinique to Le Havre, laden with sugar, coffee, cotton and cocoa; taken on 12/23 November 1744 by the privateer Tuscany (Robert Raitt commanding) and brought into Kinsale.
