Captured ship: Le Luxemburgh (master Jacques Caillonet/ Caillouet).
History: a French fishing ship (120 tons, 42 men), bound from Gaspé, Newfoundland, to Bordeaux, laden with fish and oil; taken on 11 September 1744 at latitude 45° by the privateer Success (John Le Gross commanding), and brought into Falmouth.
