History: a French merchant ship (80 tons, 2 guns, 15 men), bound from Cap Francois, Saint Domingue to La Rochelle , laden with coffee, indigo and sugar; taken on 23 June/4 July 1747 at latitude 45° by HMS Maidstone (Augustus Keppel commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
