Captured ship: St Louis Debonnaire of Granville (master Pierre Auguste Louvel).
History: a French merchant ship in the Newfoundland fish trade (60 tons, 17 men), bound from Granville to Nantes, laden with oil, cod tongues and cod; taken on 22 August / 2 September 1744 by HMS Port Mahon (Thomas Harrison commanding), and brought into Bristol.
