Captured ship: Laurell (master Charles Cooke).
History: a British ship laden with sugar, rum, indigo, cotton, pimento and timber; recaptured from an unnamed Spanish man of war on 19/[30] May 1747 off the coast of Caracas by the privateer Lowestoff (Charles Fielding commanding), and brought into Curaçao, where the ship and cargo were sold.
