Captured ship: St Joseph (master André Guyard).
History: a French ship (25 tons, 4 men), bound from Le Pouliguen to Douarnenez, laden with salt; taken on 17/[28] June 1744 off the coast of Brittany by the privateer Greyhound (Daniel Pitton commanding), and brought into Guernsey. In the allegation, the prize ship is wrongly identified as the St Louis, a vessel with the same owner as the St Joseph (M Grivart).
