Captured ship: San Jose of Pasajes (commander Don Francisco Feneq or Fenech).
History: a Spanish privateer (40 tons, 6 guns, 44 men); taken on 7/18 September 1740 off Bilbao by HMS Dolphin (Francis Holburne commanding) in company with HMS Newcastle (Thomas Fox commanding) and HMS Fox (Harcourt Masters commanding) and brought into Plymouth.
