Description

Captured ships: St Joseph or San Giuseppe (master Antoine Ganteaume) and La Pinquotte Française [otherwise San Giovanni] (master Jean Francois Icard).

History: two French ships wrecked or taken near Malta by English privateers commanded by Courtin and Hutchinson in 1749 and 1748 respectively.
