Captured ship: Die Jungfer Margaretha, Juffrouw Margaretha, or Jungfrau Margaretha (master Hinrich Bielenberg, Billenberg or Bielenger).
History: a Hamburg merchant ship (100 Dutch lasts, 12 men), bound from Bordeaux to Hamburg, laden with sugar, wine, brandy, coffee, indigo, cork, Spanish green [verdigris], and spirits; taken on 18/29 August 1747 between Dover and Calais by the privateer Culloden (Abraham Boxell commanding), and brought into the Downs.

Ship’s Papers numbered SP 12 and SP 63 only.
[Decision: part of the cargo condemned, the ship and the rest of the cargo restored, 21 November 1747].
