Captured ship: Joseph Marie or Joseph and Mary (master Francois Febvre).
History: a French fishing ship (100 tons, 22 men), bound from Newfoundland to La Rochelle, laden with cod fish and oil; taken on 5/16 January 1745 by the privateer Boscawen (Joseph Campbell commanding), but ransomed on 7/18 January 1745; retaken by the privateer Shoreham (Robert Milligen commanding) on 9/20 January 1745, and brought into Kinsale.
