Captured ship: Jesus Nazareno of Panama (master Antonio Navarro or Nabarro).
History: a Spanish merchant ship (barque, 40 tons, 7 mariners, one pilot, one negro and 7 passengers), bound from Panama city to Pueblo Nuevo and Chiriqui, in Panama, laden with salt, oakum, pitch, tar, brandy and other goods (specified, including '1 New Negro' [an enslaved person from Africa]); taken on 21 December 1741 near the island of Coiba at 7º10'N [in the Pacific Ocean] by HMS Centurion (George Anson commanding), and destroyed.
