Captured ship: L'Intrépide (master Jacques Pierre Legueroult de la Place, fils, or Leguerd de la Place).
History: a French privateer (220 tons, 20 carriage guns, 6 swivel guns, 178 men), on a cruise from St Malo; taken on 25 October/ 5 November 1746 off Villante by the privateer Prince Frederick (Francis Geary commanding), and brought into Kinsale, Ireland.
