Captured ship: Industry (master Simon Cuff).
History: an English ship (60 tons, 2 men), [bound from Dunkirk to London, intending to continue to Rotterdam], laden with Malaga wine, tent, rota wine and raisins on a French bill of lading; [seized on 22 July/2 August 1744 at Hope Wharf within the Port of London, where they were awaiting a convoy to Rotterdam], by the privateer Rochester Sloop (Joseph Cockburne commanding, suspected by Robert Forster of HM Customs of collusion with the owners of the ship), and brought into the River Medway.
