Captured ship: L'Industrie (master Jean Sibron).
History: a French ship (160 tons, 6 guns, 18 men, formerly the English ship John of New England (master Joseph Inches), taken by the French in October 1744), bound from Leogane, Saint Domingue, to Bordeaux, laden with sugar, indigo and hides; retaken on 25 June / 6 July 1747 off Cape Ushant by HMS Advice (Richard Haddock commanding), and brought into the River of Thames.

Decision: cargo condemned ship, restored paying 1/8 salvage, 15 September 1747
