Captured ship: L'Imprevue of Le Havre (master Benjamin Chaille, or Chailles).
History: a French merchant ship (170 tons, 21 men, 2 passengers), bound from Martinique to Bordeaux, La Rochelle or Nantes, laden with sugar, coffee, cotton, cocoa and copper; taken on 14/25 November 1744 off Ferrol, Spain by the privateer George (John Leonard commanding), and brought into the port of Exeter.
