Description

Captured ship: L'Immaculata Concepcion (master Jorge Camelleri or George Camelieri).

History: a Maltese ship, bound from to Marseilles (with false papers for Lisbon), laden with silk and manna [willow gum]; taken by HMS Cruiser (John Wynne commanding), and brought into Minorca.

Court Papers:

  • [CP 1-CP 4]: claim and invoice for cargo, with translations;
  • [CP 5-CP 6]: monition from the Vice-Admiralty Court of Minorca, with translation;
  • [CP 7]: affidavit as to the value of the seized cargo;
  • [CP 8]: sentence from the Court of Minorca;
  • [CP 9-CP 10]: decree of the Vice-Admiralty Court of Minorca ordering the restoration of some of the goods, with translation.

Decision at Minorca: restored as neutral, part of cargo condemned.
