Captured ship: L'Heureux Paix (master Nicholas Naudain or Nodain).
History: a French ship (150 tons, 21 men), bound from Bayonne to Saint Domingue, laden with wine, flour, ham and other goods; taken on 21 February / 3 March 1748 in latitude 45º by a joint Dutch and English fleet (Vice-Admiral Chrijver and Admiral Peter Warren commanding), and brought into Plymouth. The Dutch ships were Assendelft, Haarlem, Leiden, Leuwenhorst, Maarsen and Middelburg.
