Captured ship: Hampshire (master Lewis Conner, or as a French prize, Guillaume Nouel).
History: an English ship (200 tons, 16 men, English, Scottish and Irish and a passenger), first bound from the Potomac in Maryland to London, laden with tobacco and pig iron; taken on 10 May 1745 by a French privateer, retaken on 4 June 1745 by the privateer Dublin (Peter Eaton commanding), and brought into Falmouth.
