Captured ship: La Françoise du Lac of Granville (commander François Martin Poitevin).
History: a French privateer (48 tons, 6 carriage guns, 3 swivel guns, 70 men), bound from Granville on a cruise; taken in fight on 27 May / 7 June 1744 about 6 leagues off Ushant by the privateer Adventure (Thomas Israel commanding), and brought into Falmouth.
