Captured ship: La Fortune (master Jean Hinard). Formerly the English Severn.
History: a French merchant ship (140 tons, 24 men), bound from Louisbourg to Bordeaux, laden with codfish, oil and sugar; taken on 4/15 January 1745 in latitude 46° by the privateer Dragon (James Seaborn commanding) and brought into Bristol.
