Description

Captured ship: Le Fleuron of Nantes (master Mathurin Desors Mosneron).

History: a French merchant ship (300 tons, 8 guns, 29 men), bound from Martinique via Saint-Domingue to Nantes, laden with sugar, indigo, coffee and hides; taken on 22 June / 3 July 1747 in latitude 47° 30' by HMS Advice (Richard Haddock commanding), and brought into Portsmouth.

  • [CP 7]: attestation of need to unload cargo;
  • [CP 8]: allegation;
  • [CP 9-CP 10]: attestation as to papers, and abstract and translation of the 93 ship's papers.

Ship's Papers numbered SP 1-SP 93.
