Captured ship: La Fleur du Jour of La Rochelle (master Jean Derratzou, or Joannis Sonna Derratzou, from St-Jean-de-Luz).
History: a French merchant ship (100 tons, 4 guns, 9 men), bound from Bordeaux to La Rochelle and onward to Quebec, laden with wine; taken on 11/22 June 1747 in latitude 45° by the privateer Sheerness (Peter Griffin commanding), and brought into Bristol.
