Captured ship: La Fiere or La Fierre (master Joseph François Boisouze Liard).
History: a French merchant ship in the service of the French East India Company with a letter of marque (150 tons, 12 guns, 41 men), bound from Mauritius and Réunion to Lorient, laden with coffee; taken in fight on 29 January / 9 February 1745 in latitude 43° 18', longitude 353° 43', by the privateer Sheerness (John Furnell commanding) and brought into Bristol.
