Captured ship: La Famille of Nantes (master Mathieu Chapeau).
History: a French merchant ship (100 tons, 4 guns, 13 men), bound from Saint-Domingue to Nantes, laden with sugar, indigo and coffee; taken on 4 / 15 July 1747 in latitude 47° 30', longitude 7° by HMS Hector (Thomas Stanhope commanding), and brought into the Port of London.
