Captured ship: Le Furet of Morlaix (commander Jean Claude Marie du Portal, signing 'Duchelles Dufortal' or Duchelles Portail').
History: a French privateer (25 tons, 10 guns, 36 men, formerly the English ship Ferret (master John Engledue)), bound from Morlaix on a cruise; taken on 24 July 1747 by the privateer Charming Nancy (Philip Winter commanding), and brought into Jersey.
