Captured ship: Le Furet of St Malo (commander Pierre Jacques Le Gueroulte La Place).
History: a French privateer (70 tons, 28 guns, 114 men, mostly from France, a few from Spain and Genoa, one black crewmember), boound from St Malo on a cruise; taken on 11 June 1746 by HMS Maidstone (Augustus Keppel commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
